Robert Gates

Robert Gates, 67, passed away on June 22, 2020 in Arizona City. He was born September 3, 1952 in Sioux City, IA.

Robert is survived by his wife Angela; daughters Victoria Gates and Laura Pepperling (Chris); stepdaughter Kim; sisters Mickey Trudeau (Mel), Mary Schurr (Sheldon), and Judy Gates; brothers Pat Gates (Cheryl), Paul Gates, Jerry Gates (Sandy), Joe Gates, Dan Gates (Leeann), and Johnny Gates and 5 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frances and James Gates; brothers James Gates, Jr. and Tom Gates.

Words can not express the true extent of our loss. Bob was an avid sports lover. Had his illness not limited him, he would have golfed everyday. The ultimate peacemaker, he never spoke an unkind word about anyone. He was deeply loved and loved deeply. Angela says "until we meet again. RIP Baby."
