Jose Luis Zuniga Gonzalez, 94, passed away September 25, 2020 in Eloy. He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico on January 23, 1926.
Jose was a metal smith and worked making Greyhound buses. He also worked at his dad's hardware store. He also worked at the Hoover Dam. He loved to travel and try traditional foods from different states that he traveled to. He liked music and played the harmonica and recorder.
Jose is survived by his wife of 68 years Ubaldina Lugo Valenzuela; children Xochilt Zuniga, Marta Zuniga, Azusena Zuniga, Maria Zuniga, Jose F. Ziniga, Blanca Zuniga, Nexzahualtcoxoit Zuniga, Cuitlahuac Zuniga, and Xicotencalt Zuniga; 26 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother Nicholas Zuniga.
Funeral services will be Friday October 2, 2020 at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church in Eloy starting at 9:00 am. Father Marcos Carrasco presiding. Burial at Eloy Memorial Park at 11:00, immediately following service. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic there is a limited number of people allowed at the church so it is only immediate family. However, there is no limit for the cemetery so please meet us there.
