Donna Mae Foster
January 8, 1950 - April 9, 2022
On April 9, 2022, Donna Mae Foster’s 6.5-year fight with metastatic breast cancer came to an end. This was her second battle, having overcome breast cancer 10 years prior to her metastatic breast cancer diagnosis. She was 72 years old.
Family was the center of her world. Starting early in her 53 year marriage to Lewis Foster, she enjoyed sharing adventures with her family. Though living most of her life in Arizona, she loved adventures near running water and, as long as she was able, would share hikes or day trips with the family to seek out this peaceful experience.
As the cancer progressed, sewing became more difficult for her, but she was always proud of having been a seamstress. One of her early jobs was as a seamstress at the headquarters for Lee jeans in Merriam, KS. Locally, her job history included working for the Casa Grande Dispatch and as the manager of the Bonworth in the former Tanger Outlet Mall.
She is survived by her husband Lewis Foster, children Jedidiah Foster, Sarah Foster, and Elizabeth (Beth) Shreeve, grandson Grant Shreeve, a sister Susan Angell, and two brothers Donald (Robyn) Dennis and Steve (Lisa) Dennis, as well as additional nieces and nephews.
She had been active for many years at Trinity Southern Baptist Church, 1100 E Trinity Pl, Casa Grande, AZ. Her memorial service will be held there on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM.
