Doreen Eleanor Leggitt

February 22, 1937 - December 13, 2021

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Doreen Leggitt, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Doreen passed away peacefully on December 13, 2021 after a battle with cancer. She was 84. She was born and raised in Roseville, Michigan. She relocated and raised her family in Traverse City, MI after she married her longtime friend and true love, Marvin (Bud) Leggitt in May of 1954. He preceded her in death in 2004. It is consoling to know that the two have been reunited after such a long time apart.

Doreen and Bud retired to Casa Grande, Arizona where they met and enjoyed the company of so many amazing friends. Until her health conditions made it impossible, Doreen was active in the Palm Creek Resort Community. She had a passion for playing cards and was an avid golfer, having even achieved two hole-in-ones, which she was immensely proud of.

Doreen is survived by her children, Dennis (Linda) Leggitt and Deb Chamberlain; sisters Doris McMaster and Diana Uitvlugt; brother Daryl (Janet) McMaster, along with 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Doreen lived a full life and most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.
