James Bloam, 66 born March 30th, 1954 in Cleveland Ohio, and passed away on Jan., 16th at home under the care of hospice and his family after a valiant battle with Non-Hodgkins' lymphoma.
In 1979 Jim became a firefighter paramedic for the Cuyahoga Heights Fire Department where he served for 31 years. In 1987 as MDA coordinator, he started the MDA fifties dance and car show. The annual event raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for MDA.
Jim retired to Arizona with his wife of 40 years in 2010. He leaves behind his wife Janet, 4 children: Jennifer (Mike Lyons), Allison (Bill Evans), Nicole Bloam, Jeffrey Bloam, three grandchildren: Ariel, Owen, and Jake, and his sister Dianne (James Budka).
A private memorial will be held at his home in Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Compassus (hospice care) 1675 East Monument Plaza Circle Casa Grande Arizona 85122 or visit the website at compassus.com.
His life will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
