Janie Martinez Gil, 66, passed away March 31, 2024 in Tucson. She was born January 7, 1958.

Janie was a homemaker and loved to cook. She loved her family very much. She had the biggest heart ever and had enough love for everyone. She was a very caring and loving person. She accepted everyone who came her way and made sure that they were good. She would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She was loved by so many. Janie loved music and loved to dance and loved the casino. She was the most selfless person and put everyone before herself. She wanted her family to be happy.

Janie is survived by her husband Ruben Gil; her children Joe Gil, Amanda Gil, Ruben Gil, Mark Gil, Marisela Gil, Sinai Gil, Philip Gil, and Paul Gil; stepson Gregory Gil; siblings; Nicholas Casarez Martinez ; 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Manuela Canto Casarez and Nicholas Manuel Martinez; grandparents Jesse and Maria Ubrada Casarez; sister Vivian Martinez Magallanez and brother Manuel Martinez.

A memorial service will be held April 12, 2024 at Fountains of Living Water Church at 1:00pm. Pastor Eliu Ibarra presiding.
