Josue "Josh" Ibarra, 52, pastor of a Casa Grande church, died on Jan. 21,2021.
Pastor Ibarra was born and raised in Eloy, graduated from Santa Cruz Valley Union High school, raised his family in Arizona City, and was proud to call the community home, He was a father, grandfather, husband, and senior pastor of Fountains of Living Water Church, and his death is felt by many.
He loved preaching and teaching God's unconditional love to a hurting world as a pastor and leader. He also owned a pest control business and loved serving his customers. Music was another passion, including playing guitar and singing,
While he claimed he played drums, the praise team might disagree, his family said. Above all, his family was with his proudest accomplishment. He loved spending time with his wife and together hanging out with "All" their kids and he claimed many more than just the ones who called him Dad. Most recently, becoming a "papo" brought him the most joy. Through his ministry and his family, his impact on the community reached far and wide.
He in his wife of 30 years Leeann, raised a beautiful family: Amanda McRae, Brittany Ibarra, Jennifer Ibarra, Chelsea Ibarra, Jasmine Lopez, Blake Ibarra, Samantha Ibarra, Bobbie Ibarra, Marcus Ibarra, Jasmin Ontiveros, Julian Ibarra, Jocelyn Ibarra,
Zachary Ibarra and Asher Ibarra, as well as 11 grandchildren (four of them adopted as their own children), and 45 foster children. He also had eight siblings, Felipe Ibarra, who died five days later, Fernando Ibarra Sr., Benjamin Ibarra, David Ibarra, Irma Villarreal, Esther Conner, Eliu Ibarra Jr., and Theofilo Ibarra.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eliu S. and Loida P. Ibarra, and his grandparents.
Memorial service at 10 am. on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Fountains of Living Water Church and also available live on the church Facebook page. The family requires that all attending wear a mask and attend virtually if they are not feeling well in order to keep everyone safe.
