Kenneth Ray Ramsey

December 5, 1938 - June 4, 2024

After suffering the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s, Kenneth Ray Ramsey went to be

with the Lord on June 4, 2024.

Mr. Ramsey, known as Ramsey, was born on December 5, 1938, in Searcy, AR. to

Raymond J. Ramsey and Florence Ramsey. He was drafted by the Army in April 1962.

Upon returning from service, he met his wife, Elsie June (Baker) Ramsey, when he

accompanied her brother to pick her up at Sky Harbor. They were married on March 6,

1965. They had their only child five years later. Ramsey obtained his bachelor’s in

accounting from ASU and began his career in finance. This would lead to him accepting

the position of the City of Casa Grande finance director, and eventually a partnership in

Henry & Horne, CPA’s. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family,

(especially his great grandchildren) golfing, and spoiling his two dogs, Sweetie & Bitsy.

Ramsey is survived by his wife, daughter (Terry Hoover), brothers Dearl & Jerry Ramsey,

two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
