Kristina Joann Fuentes
September 6, 1971 - March 4, 2025

Kristina Joann Fuentes, affectionately known as Krissy to friends, family, and loved ones, passed away unexpectedly
on March 4, 2025, she was 53.
Krissy was a lively individual who enjoyed life with passion, made friends easily, and went out
of her way to help others. Krissy never had children but so wanted them. She always
considered the world’s children as hers. Krissy doted on her many nieces, nephews,
grandnieces and grandnephews. Krissy prided herself on knowing each one’s birthday and
sending them individual messages and encouragement. Krissy’s capacity to love and
demonstrate generosity crossed continents. There is a child in Gambia, Africa that is named
after her, out of the family’s respect and appreciation for her help. Krissy was also a risk
taker. She would intervene in a situation if she believed a child was at risk of threat or harm,
she would stop and offer assistance to someone who was stranded on the freeway or side of
the road – she would help change a flat tire or scrape up a couple of dollars for a gallon of
gas.
Krissy was born in Phoenix, Arizona, September 6, 1971, and spend the first part of her
childhood in Chandler, AZ before the family moved to Maricopa, AZ in 1984. Krissy was a bit
of a tomboy as a child, she loved to play dolls and outdoors, she enjoyed raising farm
animals, and she could drive a tractor or a truck. Krissy enjoyed defying stereotypes, her first
job as a teenager was changing tires in a tire shop, and she specialized in semis! Krissy
made it a point to brighten other people’s day, if she saw someone without a smile, she
would share hers. It made her happy to make other people happy and help them realize they
matter. One of Krissy’s favorite Bible Verses is, “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not
sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not
worth much more than they?”
Matthew 6:26 New American Standard Bible 1995
Krissy enjoyed capturing her thoughts on paper – sometime a letter, a simple note, or poem,
and sometimes she would write pages. She always carried a notebook and pen with her.
Krissy started writing at the age of 14. Krissy never had to think of something to write, she
found inspiration in the world around her, whatever caught her attention. She like to notice
the “little things of beauty in life that so many people fail to notice simply because they’re
rushing to and from in their busy lives.” Krissy made a point to notice something that would
bring not only a smile to other’s faces and heart but pause for a moment of peace by taking
time to stop and gaze upon a flower growing in the midst of a field of weeds or the way palm
branches would blow opposite of one another in a windstorm.
Some of Krissy’s other hobbies included DIY crafting, cooking and most deliciously baking!
Krissy definitely did not enjoy adulting, however, she took her responsibility as guardian for
one of her younger brothers, AJ, very seriously and was actively involved in ensuring he
received the best care possible. She would visit him weekly and share hugs, play games and
eat cake!
When Krissy moved to Eloy, she enjoyed puttering around town on her scooter, waving,
sharing her smile, popping into the local businesses to say, “Hi,” attending community events
and picking up and distributing food boxes for her elderly neighbors with her wagon and
scooter. Another project Krissy was working on prior to her untimely death was advocating for
the city to install a drinking fountain at the Eloy Central (Main Street) Park. Krissy’s final act
of selflessness, generosity and love was to be a Donor. While Krissy lives in our hearts, her
ultimate gift of self is also helping restore the lives of others in many ways through her
donation. Please visit this website to learn more about donors

Krissy was preceded in death by her parents, Joan Elizabeth Barnes and Donald R. Limbrick;
maternal grandparents, Mildred Saey and Walter Barnes; paternal grandparents, Alice
Billingsley and Atticus Limbrick; 11 paternal aunts and uncles, and 3 maternal uncles David,
Jerry, and Kenny Barnes.
Krissy leaves behind 2 sisters Millie (Victor) Lewis, Jo Anna (Omar)
Berrelleza; 5 brothers, Donnie, Ben, and Joseph Limbrick, AJ Ayala, and Terry Lemberick; an
aunt, Diane Castillo; 14 nieces and nephews; 7 great nieces and great nephews; stepmother
Toni Limbrick, cousins, and a myriad of friends. Krissy was a believer in the Lord, Jesus
Christ, and did her best to live by Matthew 25:35-40.
“When the road you’re traveling gets too rough, and you realize you ain’t that tough,
tell satan the answer is, “No!” and let Jesus show you where to go!
