Nicholas Andrew Vasquez

March 30, 1986 - June 18, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nick Vasquez on the evening of June 18, 2024.  He lost his life in a tragic car accident in Chandler, AZ at the age of 38.

Nick was born in West Covina, CA and lived in Upland, CA.  At the age of 10 he moved to Casa Grande, AZ. 

Nick’s passions were skateboarding, art, and creating music.  He will be remembered as a loving father to his three children Kennedy, Emory, and Niko.  It was rare to see without a smile on his face and he had a laugh that was unforgettable.  Nick had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Nick was a construction worker and also worked for a few years with the Sacaton Wildland fire fighting crew.  He was a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation.

He is survived by his children Kennedy, Emory, and Niko Vasquez; his parents Jessica and Anthony Vasquez; his grandmother Sally Johnston; sisters Marissa and Desiree Vasquez and brother Anthony Johnston.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Daniel Johnston, Rudy Vasquez, and Mary Vasquez.

Memorial service will be July 12, 2024 at Passion Church, 501 E. Kortsen Rd., Casa Grande at 9:00am. Burial after at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ.
