Phyllis Dea Brown

February 18, 1949 - December 5, 2024

Phyllis Dea Brown, 75, passed away at home in Maricopa on December 5, 2024. She was born February 18, 1949.

Phyllis grew up on a small farm in Illinois. It was there where she learned many life lessons. Her mother taught her to be a great cook, seamstress and homemaker. Her father and brother taught her carpentry, painting and her love for cars and animals, especially her hoses and dogs. Her golden retriever was her best friend.

Phyllis worked as a secretary and accountant with her husband Bill in their insurance business, both retiring in 2012. She and Bill loved to travel. Her love of the mountains in Montana and Wyoming brought them to Arizona. Here they attended many car shows and golf events. She also learned the craft of card making from a neighbor and great friend, Rosie, with whom she spent many hours!!

Phyllis is survived by her husband William Brown; children Travis Kuntz of Monticello, IL and Tricia Eustis of Maricopa, AZ; stepchildren Jodi Cottrell of Avon, IN, Andrew Brown of Dwight, IL and Lindsay Brown Lineberry of Highlands Ranch, CO; Siblings Darrell (Carol) Wright of Naperville, IL and Pat Ervin of Auburn, WA and 9 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death By her parents Blossum and Dale Wright; sister in law Rita Wright and brother in law Ray Ervin and her first husband John Kuntz.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
