Stanley Howard Windom was born on June 13, 1937 in Malvern, IA to Stanley Edward “Buck” and Florence Nina (Biggerstaff) Windom. He died on February 16th at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center in Casa Grande, AZ.

Stanley grew up in Malvern, IA and joined the Marines. He served during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Dale June Daugherty on February 14, 1959 in Glenwood, IA. 

He spent many years in the meat packing industry and was a federal meat inspector in Missouri and South Dakota. He bartended and ran the Wildcat Bar for the city of Bridgewater, SD. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

He and Dale June began spending time in Arizona during the winters in the 1990s and settled there permanently in 2012. He enjoyed biking, swimming, playing pool, reading, working puzzles, tending his fruit trees, and hosting walleye feeds for the RV park. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Miller, brother-in-law Wesley Miller and wife Dale June Windom. 

Surviving family members include niece Nancy Benton, Malvern, IA and nephew Rick (Angela) Miller Bluffton, IN along with five great nieces, and four great-great nephews and two great-great nieces. 

Stanley did not desire a memorial service.
