Stella Matzinger

Stella Matzinger, 79, of Casa Grande died on February 6, 2025 in Phoenix.

Stella was born on May 26, 1945, in Casa Grande to Thomas & Celia Kehias, but was raised by her stepfather Elzy Pearson after her father’s death when she was very young.

Stella was a happy, smiling person who loved to talk to everyone.  Stella and her husband Bob were the owners and heart and soul of Little Sombrero.  She took great pride in her food.  Stella taught us to be loyal, work hard, share, be accepting people for who they are and love those who are important to you and accept them into your family.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Matzinger, parents Thomas Kehias and Celia and Elzy Pearson.

She is survived by her son Robert (Rebecca) Matzinger, daughter Stacey (fiancé Shane) Matzinger, grandson Joseph (Carolyn) Matzinger, sister Elaine (Rudy) Valdez, brother Gary (Lana) Kehias, honorary son Porfirio Enriquez, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other honorary family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
