Zachary M. Born

December 16, 2004 - September 5, 2024

Zachary M. Born, age 19, of Maricopa, Arizona, passed away on September 5, 2024. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the beloved son of Patty Born and the late Charlie Born.

Zack was a bright and talented young man who found joy in the things that set his spirit free. His passion for music was evident in his skillful drumming and love for heavy metal. Zack was passionate about MMA, video games, and skateboarding. He had a gift for working with his hands, whether building something from scratch or learning new skills, like welding. Zack had just started his second year in the welding program at CAC.

Zack was a burn survivor, having spent 2 weeks in the ICU and enduring numerous surgeries after a house fire in 2022. Zack faced his challenges in spite of his fears.

Zack was not only smart and creative, but also generous with his time and talents. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offering support and kindness to anyone in need. His warm heart and genuine nature left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Zack will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will forever remember him for his genuine soul, boundless empathy, and the light he brought into their lives.

In addition to his mother, Zachary is survived by his stepfather, Edward Stanley; sister, Chanelle Born; brothers, Brandon Born and Xavier Zazueta; sister-in-law Rachel Fischer; and his dog, Jesse.
